CMCL is betting on North East. will the strategy work?

CEMENT Manufacturing Co Ltd (CMCL), a newly floated subsidiary of the Kolkata-based plywood maker Century Plyboards, has recently begun operations in the North East. The company has invested Rs 98 crore to set up a cement making plant at the limestone - rich Lumshnong district in Meghalaya, which is the biggest private sector investment in the entire North East in recent years.
